Prasat Sa Kamphaeng Yai

Prasat Sa Kamphaeng Yai

Prasat Kamphaeng Yai is located in a Thai temple with the same name in Sisaket province. It consists of three prangs on the same platform all facing east. There are some Khmer inscriptions in the eastern Gorupa (entrance) which date the temple back to the 11th century. Several beautiful lintels and doorframes can be seen. While we visited in March 2006 the site was used for dances during a festival held at the temple. During those times the Khmer site is filled with people.
